This week, Lake Erie International High School would like to spotlight the Hispanic UMADAOP of Cleveland, Inc. Their mission is to empower the Hispanic/Latino community to eliminate the negative impact of HIV/AIDS, violence and the abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs though culturally sensitive prevention, education, intervention and treatment services. We are pleased to recognize Ms. Nereida Diaz, Prevention Specialist for Hispanic UMADAOP. Ms. Diaz has been facilitating sexual health education prevention groups here at Lake Erie for the past seven years and is part of our family!
Lake Erie International High School is pleased to annouce a growing partnership with Urban Kutz of Cleveland. Urban Kutz Barbershop, which is located at 11106 Detroit Avenue, specializes in precision hair cuts in a laid back atmosphere at a market prices. Urban Kutz boasts three goals 1) for clients to receive an AWESOME haircut; 2) for clients to continue to return; and 3) for clients to tell their friends. The owner and founder, Waverly Willis, has extended his hand by offering our students free haircuts for demonstrated academic progress.
Lake Erie International High School will be hosting our first Open House of the 2014/2015 school year on October 23, 2014 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Come on in and meet the staff, discuss progress reports, and tour our building. We look foward to seeing you!!!
A U.S. District Court has ordered that 2013-2014 school year records from the Ohio Department of Education's Educational Management Information System be turned over to Disability Rights Ohio as part of an ongoing lawsuit.
