According to Section 1118 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and the Title I, Part A Parental Involvement Non-Regulatory Guidance,
“Each school served under Title I, Part A must convene an annual meeting, at a time convenient for parents to inform them of their school’s participation in Title I, Part A programs, and to explain the Title I, Part A requirements and right of parents to be involved in those programs.”
Lake Erie International High School is excited to host our annual Open House on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This is an opportunity for your to celebrate your or your child's accomplishments, tour our school, and meet with the staff. Parking is available behind the school building, off West 117 Street., as well as along the fence in GFS parking lot next to our building off West 117 Street. We look forward to seeing you on the 9th!
The Lake Erie International High School is a community school established under Chapter 3314 of the Ohio Revised Code. The school is a public school and students enrolled in and attending the school are required to take Ohio Achievement Assessments, Ohio Graduation Tests, Ohio State Tests or any other examinations prescribed by law. In additiona, there may be other requirements for students at the school that are prescribed by law.
It is important for every child to attend school every day. In an effort to address truancy among students, the Ohio General Assembly has passed a new truancy law, House Bill 410. Under this new law, all Ohio schools are now mandated to enforce House Bill 410 in an effort to reduce the number of truant students. Lake Erie International High School will work with students, staff, parents/guardians, and outside community organizations to address truancy issues. House Bill 410 requires the following:

Lake Erie International High School (LEIHS) is excited about how well our students responded to our increasing academic excellence schoolwide. In June 2017, we recognized the largest graduating class thus far, hence we are even more excited about what the future holds for these many promising students. As part of the LEIHS family it is all of our responsibility to encourage and hold our students accountable for their individual successes.
